The recipients of fitra and fidya

Question

Revered Hazrat Mufti, may his lofty shadow endure! As-salamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. (1) According to the preferred view (qawl rajih), is there any difference between the recipients of sadaqat al-fitr and the recipients of fidya (expiatory payment)? (2) May the amount of fidya for the fasts and prayers of several days be given to one person all at once or not?

Answer

(1) The recipients of both are the same.
