Zakat money for a court case
Question
Is it permissible to spend zakat money on a court case of a mosque or madrasa, or on the court case of some poor person, or not?
Answer
If the zakat money is given to a poor person and he then, on his own behalf, gives it for a court case of a mosque or madrasa, or for any other purpose, that is valid. But to spend that money directly on a court case of a mosque, a madrasa or some poor person and the like, or to put it into construction, or to give it as salaries, is not valid.
