Zakat to the Tablighi Jamaat

Question

May zakat money be spent on members of the Tablighi Jamaat or not? And is it correct to say that the proper recipient of zakat is the Tablighi Jamaat?

Answer

If they are recipients of zakat, then spending it on them is proper; but restricting the proper recipients to them alone is not correct.
