Giving a Student Association’s Money to Dar al-‘Ulum

Question

There is an association of African students named “Africa Muslim Students Union”. It has been temporarily suspended. Its donations mostly came from South Africa. Through a magazine there we have publicly announced the suspension of the association, and we have also announced that the association’s minor belongings will remain in trust (amana) at the Madrasa Jami‘a Islamiyya in Dabhel, and that the money is being given as a gift to Dar al-‘Ulum Deoband. In this situation, may we deposit this money with Dar al-‘Ulum?

Answer

If the donors agree to this and have no objection, it is permissible according to the Shari‘a to do so.
