A Towel and Mirror in the Mosque and a Cover on the Minbar
Question
What is the ruling on keeping a towel and a mirror in the mosque? Also, what is the ruling on a cover on the minbar, that is, draping cloth over the minbar?
Answer
All of these are superfluities: people who live with superfluities in their own homes keep these things in the mosque as well, by their own arrangement. In themselves these things are neither necessary, such that the mosque should provide them, nor prohibited, such that they should be called haram.
