Taking Water for the Mosque from a Government Tank

Question

Outside, near the mosque, a water tank has been installed, which is from the municipality for the general public benefit. If people wish to use it for the mosque — such that through this tap, by means of a pipe or a bucket or in any other way, they store water in the mosque — is it permissible or not? Please explain and be rewarded.

Answer

If doing so is not against the law — rather, there is permission from the municipality — then it is permissible.
