How a Madrasa May Be Built on Mosque Land

Question

What is the ruling on building a madrasa on mosque land? And if a mosque needs expansion, how should it be done?

Answer

If land is waqf for the mosque and a madrasa needs to be built there, then let them build with the mosque’s money and take it on rent for the madrasa, the rent being paid to the mosque on behalf of the madrasa.
