The Right of the Waqif’s Descendants to Interfere in the Management

Question

What do the scholars of religion say regarding this matter? A man, out of religious zeal and strength of faith, established a religious madrasa at his house and always strove for the progress of this madrasa and supervised it. He also formed a committee of several pious and prominent men of the city to give advice on the management and progress of the madrasa, as a result of which endowed property — shops — was arranged for establishing and maintaining this madrasa.

Answer

In the case in question, since the present members were appointed by the late original mutawalli, and the original mutawalli had the right to appoint as mutawalli whomever he wished (as is explicitly stated in al-‘Alamgiriyya, vol. 2, p. 999)
