He Intended a Waqf, Then Changed His Mind
Question
I bought a piece of land for two hundred rupees and resolved in my heart that I would make half of the land waqf for a mosque of the townspeople, which is roughly twenty-two miles from the land, and make the other half waqf for three local mosques in equal shares. I have not yet written the waqf deed.
Answer
If you merely thought in your heart that you would make the land waqf in such-and-such places with this intention, and then on reflection the benefit appeared to lie otherwise, you are also permitted to change what you had first thought: where it is more appropriate to endow more, you may endow more there.
