Partnership in a single goat is not valid

Question

Question: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had two piebald, castrated rams with large horns brought, offered his sacrifice and said: “O Exalted Creator, accept from me and from my Umma — from those who are unable to offer a sacrifice” (Abu Dawud).

In al-Bada’i‘ it says: [ar]فالجواب أنه عليه الصلاة والسلام إنما فعل ذلك لأجل الثواب، وهو أنه جعل ثواب تضحيته شاة واحدة لأمته، لا للإجزاء وسقوط التعبد عنهم اهـ[/ar] “The answer is that he ﷺ did that only for the sake of reward, that is, he made the reward of his sacrifice of a single shat for his Umma, not so that it would suffice for them and remove the obligation of worship…
