Sacrificing an animal with a chipped horn

Question

I bought a ram that was one year and two months old and had two teeth; it was very fat. It has horns one inch long; by rubbing against a wall it broke off about half an inch of them, but neither did the base of the horn break nor did blood flow. Is its sacrifice valid or not?

Answer

This causes no harm to its sacrifice; according to the Shari‘a it is valid.
