Sacrificing an animal that has no horns
Question
Here, as soon as goats, cows and the like are born, an electric current is applied to the place where the horns grow, so that the horns do not come out. Will the sacrifice of such animals be valid or not?
Answer
An animal whose horns do not grow at all (whatever the reason) is valid for sacrifice: [ar]ويضحى بالجماء هي التي لا قرن لها خلقة[/ar] “The jamma’ — one that has no horns by nature — may be sacrificed” (“Shami”, vol. 5, p. 205).
