Hazrat Fatima’s Children and Hazrat ‘Ali’s Burial Place

Question

How many children were born to Hazrat Fatima ﵂, and did Hazrat ‘Ali ﵁ marry another woman while she was alive, and whom did he marry after her death? How many days after the Prophet ﷺ did Hazrat Fatima ﵂ pass away? And where is Hazrat ‘Ali ﵁ buried?

Answer

During Hazrat Fatima’s ﵂ lifetime Hazrat ‘Ali ﵁ contracted no other marriage (so [it is stated] in “Badhl [al-Majhud]”, p. 5, vol. 3). Four children were born to him from her: Hazrat Husayn, Hazrat Hasan, Umm Kulthum and Zaynab — so [it is stated] in “Fatawa Ibn Hajar”, p. 121; while in “Tarikh al-Khamis”, p. 283, vol. 2 / p. 281, vol. 2, Muhsin and Ruqayya are also added.
