Against Whom Did the Prophet ﷺ Invoke a Curse?

Question

Question: did the Prophet ﷺ ever, during his life, before or after prophethood, invoke a curse against any polytheist or disbeliever by name, and on what occasion was this?

Answer

He ﷺ invoked such a curse against certain people on several occasions. He invoked it against ‘Utaybah ibn Abi Lahab; in the qunut al-nazilah he invoked a curse naming only the tribes; he also invoked a curse against Safwan ibn Umayyah, Suhayl ibn ‘Amr and al-Harith ibn Hisham, as related in Sahih al-Bukhari.
