Imagining during intercourse with one’s wife that one is with a certain non-mahram woman
Question
Question: While having intercourse with his wife, Zayd says: “Imagine that such-and-such a non-mahram man is having intercourse with you,” and he himself also says aloud: “I am having intercourse with such-and-such a woman.” Does saying this have any effect on the nikah? Should Zayd also inform his spiritual guide of this or not? Zayd has now repented.
Answer
By saying this the nikah is certainly not broken; however, it is shamelessness and a sin. If Zayd remains firm in his repentance, informing the spiritual guide is not necessary; otherwise he should inform him and ask for a remedy as to how to be rid of this shamelessness. May the Holy God forgive and protect.
