The Wife Did Not Receive the Divorce Deed

Question

Question: If a man writes a divorce deed and sends it to his wife, and she does not receive it, will the talaq take effect without her knowledge?

Answer

If that divorce deed did not contain the condition “when it reaches the wife, then there is talaq,” then talaq took effect as soon as the divorce deed was written, whether the wife knows of it or not.
