Talaq of an Intoxicated Person

Question

(1) (Alif) gave his wife talaq in a state of intoxication, that is, he says to his wife three times: “میں نے تجھ کو طلاق دے دیا” (“I have given you talaq”), and in this state he also writes a divorce deed. (1) In the case described, three talaqs have taken effect and the major (mughallaza) prohibition has arisen: [ar]ويقع طلاق كل زوج عاقل بالغ ولو مكرهًا، أو كان الزوج سكران زائل العقل، فإن طلاقه واقع اهـ[/ar] “The talaq of every husband who is sane and adult takes effect, even if he is coerced (mukrah)
