Ruling on Repeated Talaq
Question
After quarrelling with my parents over household matters, I said to my wife: “Take your nephew’s (your sister’s son’s) clothes to your home,” and, having had a minor boy write a note, I gave it to my wife. Its wording is as follows: “Respected uncle (the husband of the maternal aunt)! Your daughter is free from my side (“تمہاری لڑکی میری طرف سے آزاد ہے”). You have the choice: keep my jewellery in lieu of the mahr, or else return it and take the money.
Answer
