Does Drawing Blood by Syringe Nullify Wudu?
Question
I, the undeserving one, was in a state of wudu after the ‘Asr prayer. During that time a patient on the verge of death in the hospital needed blood, and I, the undeserving one, gave him my blood. When I came straight back from the hospital, the Maghrib prayer was ready [to begin], and, thinking I had wudu, I led the prayer as imam.
Answer
Although the blood did not fall on the ground, if there had been no tube and bottle into which the blood was taken, and it were simply drawn out by the needle, it would certainly have flowed and fallen on the ground.
