A Dog Rubbing Against One’s Clothes
Question
If a dog goes past rubbing against one’s clothes, is there a need to perform ghusl and change the clothes or not?
Answer
The saliva of a dog is impure (najis). If saliva did not get on it, but rather the dog’s dry body touched the clothing, the clothing will not become impure thereby. For the prayer it is not necessary to change or wash this clothing, nor to perform ghusl oneself.
