Slaughtering a goat crushed under a wall

Question

Question: A wall fell on a goat and its body was pinned down; only its legs are visible. If the bricks etc. are lifted, there is a fear that the goat will die. If it was slaughtered after saying “bismillah”, is that valid or not?

Answer

If that goat is still alive, then it may be slaughtered by saying “bismillah” and striking it with a spear. If its death comes about by drowning in a well or by being crushed under a wall, then it will not become halal by striking it on its leg.
