A woman cooking food during i'tikaf

Question

And may a woman in i'tikaf cook food in the masjid al-bayt (the place of prayer in the house) or not? If there is permission to go outside for the adhan and for wudu, then this contradicts the following text of al-Kafi: [ar]ويخرج لغائط أو بول أو جمعة[/ar] “And he goes out to relieve himself, or to urinate, or for the Friday prayer” (Shami, vol. 2). Please give answers with references.

Answer

If she has no one to cook food for her, she may cook food in the masjid al-bayt; not all the rulings of a mosque apply to the masjid al-bayt.
