Ate suhur when true dawn had already set in
Question
When the visible rising (tulu' hissi) takes place at five o’clock, a person eating suhur stopped when it was already exactly four o’clock. Will that day’s fast remain or not? This person who is eating suhur, despite the horizon being clear, does not at all perceive the presence of true dawn (subh sadiq) to the degree of certainty. The said person is an expert in the times.
Answer
According to the rising in our parts, that day’s fast did not take place, because the suhur was eaten after true dawn. One must stop eating from the very onset of true dawn, and not wait for it to become evident (tabayyun).
