A “Raw” Belch While Fasting
Question
It is widely held among the common people that a “raw” belch, i.e. one that brings up the taste of food, breaks the fast. What is the truth of this? For sometimes, even after eating the smallest amount, because one gets no rest, such a belch does come, or the throat starts “moving” (?).
Answer
Even a “raw” belch does not invalidate the fast.
