Fixing the times of the prayers

Question

What is the ruling on keeping to the [fixed] time?

Answer

The greatest benefit (maslaha) of the times that are fixed for the prayers is that everyone catches the congregation and no one has cause for complaint. Nevertheless, if out of need or because of an excuse [the congregation] is brought forward or put back a little, there is no harm in it, so long as it does not reach the limit of what is makruh.
