The Time of Asr

Question

According to the Hanafis, the initial time of the Asr prayer by the English (Gregorian) months — that is, the time it has in January — how long will it remain [the same]?

Answer

Neither this time nor, indeed, any time is uniform by the clock; rather, the times of different cities vary according to sunrise and sunset. Therefore obtain from some bookshop the annual timetable of sunrise and sunset for your city and keep it with you; traders usually keep this timetable for sale as well, like other books.
