At which verse of Surah Sad the prostration is made

Question

In Surah Sad, is the prostration at verse 25 or at verse 24? If someone performs the prostration at verse 24, will the prostration count or not?

Answer

The verse of prostration is verse 25. If he performs the prostration at verse 24, at the words “wa anab” (وَأَنَابَ, “and he turned [to Him] in repentance”), then too, according to one opinion, it will be fulfilled.
