Recited only the basmala in the third or fourth rak‘a

Question

If in a fard prayer, in the third or fourth rak‘a, [a person] recited only the basmala — the full tasmiya — then remembered that he had to make ruku‘, and made ruku‘ without reciting any sura, should sajda al-sahw be performed or not?

Answer

If in the third or fourth rak‘a of a fard, at the end of Surat al-Fatiha, before ruku‘, the basmala was recited, sajda al-sahw will not become necessary (lazim) because of this.
