A child suckled from its mother while she was in prayer

Question

If a child suckles milk during the prayer, will the prayer be valid or not?

Answer

If the child came by itself and suckled, the prayer will not become fasid (invalid). Editor’s note (tanbih): this ruling applies when no milk has come out of the woman’s breast; if milk has come out, then the prayer becomes fasid.
