Is the prayer invalidated by taking a prompt from a person whose body and clothes are impure?
Question
A certain man is blind. He joins the prayer and also prompts the imam, while his body remains impure and his clothes also remain impure. What is the ruling regarding him? He purifies neither his body nor his clothes.
Answer
A person whose body and clothes are impure and who is able to purify them is not permitted to join the prayer without purifying them. If he prays, the fard will not be discharged, and instead of reward such a person will deserve severe punishment — so much so that by doing this it becomes difficult for his iman to remain intact.
