Imamate of one suffering from involuntary seminal discharge

Question

A person suffers from the ailment of involuntary seminal discharge: after urinating, drops continually come out, and even without urinating drops come out into his trousers. Can he lead the congregation or not?

Answer

If he is a ma‘dhur according to the Shari‘a, his imamate is not proper; otherwise it is proper, on condition that his clothes are also pure.
