A Deobandi Leading the Prayer in a Barelvi Mosque

Question

Holding Deobandi beliefs, I lead the prayer in a mosque of people with Barelvi beliefs. Is this permissible or not?

Answer

If you do not do anything wrong for their sake, it is permissible. But remember that concealing oneself is dangerous: when the followers learn, “The man behind whom we prayed is a person of Deobandi belief,” what will the situation be then?
