The imamate of one who verbally abuses his father

Question

What is the ruling of the Shari'a concerning a person who abuses his father by saying: “Bastard! There is a difference of seed in your birth”? Is prayer behind such a person permissible or not?

Answer

Such a person is a fasiq and utterly base. Appointing him as imam is makruh tahrimi.
