Imamate of a man whose wife cuts grass
Question
Is the prayer permissible behind an imam whose wife cuts grass?
Answer
If, because of hardship and poverty, she is compelled to go out and cut grass — such that there is no getting by without work of this kind — and she goes out in shabby, soiled clothes befitting her station, and does not uncover her face before non-mahram men, then there is no harm in it, and it does not affect her husband’s imamate.
