Lifting the feet in sajda
Question
Is it necessary in the state of sajda for the toes to touch the ground or not? And if the feet come off, will the prayer become fasid or not?
Answer
In sajda it is necessary that some toe remain touching the ground. If both feet were lifted from the ground in such a way that no part of any toe remained touching the ground, and this state lasted for [the time of] three tasbihs, the prayer will not be valid; sajda al-sahw is not sufficient for it either.
