Reciting the Qur’an Bare-Headed
Question
What is the ruling on reciting the Qur’an bare-headed [without covering the head]?
Answer
The most excellent way is that one should, according to one’s means, put on good clothing and wind a turban, and then recite (al-Fatawa al-Hindiyya, vol. 5, p. 316). Reciting bare-headed is therefore contrary to what is most excellent [though it remains permissible].
