Claiming the mahr
Question
A woman named Zaynab was married to a certain respected superintendent for (a mahr of) nine hundred rupees. Once the respected superintendent said to Zaynab in anger, “Get out of the house, you are divorced.” After that the contract was concluded again. Now, after the death of the respected superintendent, the children of his first wife have taken possession of his property and so on.

If the second nikah is proven, and it is not the case that a Shar‘i separation was again established before the death of the respected superintendent and the ‘idda had elapsed, then the said woman will be entitled to her share of the inheritance, and on account of the second nikah she will also be entitled to the second mahr.
