Nikah with a Daughter’s Daughter

Question

Is nikah with one’s daughter’s daughter valid or not?

Answer

Just as nikah with one’s full sister is haram, likewise it is haram with the full sister’s daughter and with that daughter’s daughter, because of the saying of the Exalted: [ar]حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَـٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَٰتُكُمْ وَعَمَّـٰتُكُمْ وَخَـٰلَـٰتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ ٱلْأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ ٱلْأُخْتِ[/ar] “Prohibited to you are your mothers, your daughters, your…
