Nikah with One’s Wife’s Daughter

Question

Zayd contracted nikah with a woman; along with her came her daughter from her first husband. After this woman’s death, or after divorcing her, can one contract nikah with her own daughter or not?

Answer

Zayd’s nikah with the daughter — from her first husband — of the woman with whom Zayd had intercourse after the nikah is never, under any circumstances, permissible; it is absolutely haram.
