There is no adhan for the Eid prayer

Question

Is there no adhan before [the prayers of] Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr? And if there is none, then what is recited? Please write it in the answer.

Answer

On this occasion the adhan is not prescribed: [ar]فلا يؤذن لعيد[/ar] “So no adhan is called for Eid” (Maraqi al-Falah). Nor does anything else take the place of the adhan.
