The Jumu'a Prayer with the Doors Closed
Question
What is [the ruling on] keeping the doors of the mosque closed at the time of prayer? If the prayer is performed with the doors closed, is the prayer affected in any way or not?
Answer
For the Jumu'a prayer the doors of the mosque must not be closed: general permission (idhn 'amm) is necessary there, otherwise the prayer will not be valid.
