Joining Jamiat Ulama

Question

Question: What is the ruling on joining the organisation called Jamiat Ulama (the association of religious scholars)? Should the common people be kept away and forbidden from joining, or not?

Answer

Obtain the constitution of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and study it. If anything in it requires investigation, or some particular stance of the Jamiat is open to question, then enquire about that.
