Intention (niyya) is not required for washing the deceased

Question

Please write out in Arabic the intention (niyya) for washing the deceased. Also, is it necessary for the one who washes the deceased or not?

Answer

If water has been poured over the deceased three times and no part of him has remained dry, the washing is accomplished, whether an intention was made or not. Moreover, it is not required to utter words either in Arabic or in any other language: intention is the name for the resolve of the heart.
