Not Trusting the Sihah Sitta

Question

A man says, “The books of the Sihah Sitta of Jami‘a Qasimiyya in Moradabad are wholly wrong: they made up some hadiths themselves and had them written in.” Those books contain tawhid too — so he declares tawhid wrong as well, since the word “wholly” covers everything. But this man recites the kalima, though he is of innovatory views, and does not trust the books of hadith. Has this man become a kafir, a mushrik or an apostate? Give the correct answer and gain the reward of both worlds. Explain and be rewarded.

Answer

Let this man be asked: what are the “some hadiths” that were made up and had written in, and who made them up and had them written? Where are the Sihah Sitta of Jami‘a Qasimiyya — are they only in Jami‘a Qasimiyya, or do they exist elsewhere too? The said man’s statement is the outcome of innovation and ignorance.
