The Ruling on One Who Denies Halala

Question

If someone does not accept the ruling of halala and says, “This cannot be a ruling of the Islamic Shari‘a; I do not accept it,” what is the ruling of the Sacred Law on such a person?

Answer

He is ignorant, uninformed and misguided — as al-Kamal ibn al-Humam expressly stated in “Fath al-Qadir”. He must repent at once; otherwise his iman is in grave danger.
