The Bringing Back to Life of the Prophet’s ﷺ Parents and Their Uttering the Kalimah

Question

A certain man says that the Prophet ﷺ went to the graveyard, brought his parents back to life and made them Muslims. From which hadith is this content taken? And if this is untrue, is the one who says it not slandering the Prophet ﷺ? Yet at the same time he recites the very kalimah of the Prophet ﷺ — what sort of Muslim is this?

Answer

That the parents of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were brought back to life by the command of Allah and passed away after uttering the kalimah is not found in the Sahih collections. Al-Suyuti, however, has related such a narration as well. Therefore no harshness should be shown on this question; rather, silence is to be preferred.
