What Belief in the Qur’an Means
Question
Since I believe in the noble Qur’an, what ruling applies to denying the entire Qur’an wholly or partly, or denying some portion of the Qur’an wholly or partly — whether that denial be with the tongue or with the other limbs?
Answer
Affirming the noble Qur’an in its entirety is obligatory. If concerning the whole Qur’an or any part of it (a verse) one holds the belief that it was not sent down from Allah the Exalted, then iman does not remain.
