Employment as a preacher

Question: Is it permissible for preachers to preach for a fixed wage or not?
Answer
If the work or the time is specified in a regular manner, such that a monthly or yearly salary is fixed, then it is correct according to the Shari‘a: [ar]ولا لأجل الطاعات مثل الأذان والحج والإمامة وتعليم القرآن والفقه، ويفتى اليوم بصحتها لتعليم القرآن والفقه والإمامة والأذان[/ar] “…nor for acts of worship (ta‘at)
