Leaving the Miqat after Entering Ihram

Question

Question: An afaqi, on reaching the miqat, puts on ihram and makes the intention of Hajj or ‘Umra, but on reaching Jeddah, while in ihram, goes out beyond Dhu al-Hulayfa, the miqat of Madinah, as well, and travels to Madinah the Noble. The question is: is it permissible for such a muhrim, who put on ihram and made the intention on reaching the miqat, to go out beyond another afaqi miqat before the Hajj or ‘Umra? Is any kaffara due from him?

Answer

In this case too there is no kaffara upon him. Let him keep avoiding what is prohibited in ihram and not come out of ihram without performing Hajj or ‘Umra — this is the respect due to the ihram. Going out beyond the miqat is not contrary to ihram.
