The name Mursalin

Question

Question: My son, who is three and a half years old, I named “Mursalin” (مرسلین), but now a religious scholar has said that this name is not suitable for the child, because the totality of all the prophets whom Allah Most High has sent is called “mursalin” (the messengers). So what is your instruction?

Answer

No child should be given the name Mursalin. If including the word “mursalin” in the name is really intended, then let them name him something such as Khadim al-Mursalin (خادم المرسلين) or Ghulam al-Mursalin (غلام المرسلين), and the like.
